What About Your Friends?

So this is a topic I have been dying to dish about... FRIENDS.

So what I really want to get into is how to differentiate between FAKE friends and TRUE friends.
Believe me when I say I have definitely had my share of fake friends... and thank goodness I have learned who they are and have gotten them OUT of my life. So question is... how can you tell who is real and who is fakin' it?

Let's start here.. a REAL friend has your best interest at heart. While a FAKE friend has their own hidden motives. Real friends are like family. Fake friends... not so much. Real friends don't drag your name through the dirt and do spiteful things behind your back unlike a fake friend who is very capable of doing so. Real friends fight and make up... Fake friends fight and become sworn enemies. Real friends make sure you're okay and check to see that you have everything you need. Fake friends only speak to you when it is convenient for them or when they need something like a few dollars, or to borrow your curling iron and even your history book to study for that exam y'all have coming up. Real friends know how to keep a secret while a fake friend will dig information out of you just to spread your business around to everybody and their mother. Real friends don't go months without speaking. Real friends keep in touch even when school is out of session or your miles and miles away from each other. Real friends don't lie. Real friends encourage you and make you a better person. Real friends wipe your tears and make you smile instead of disregarding your sadness and turning the other cheek. Real friends argue but don't run to social media to bash the other.

I had a close group of friends all through out high school, I thought we would be friends forever... but as soon as we walked across that stage at graduation, we pretty much never spoke again. The only time I ever see any of them is while scrolling through Instagram... I befriended a few people in college as well who I became super close to but they turned out to fall into that fake friend category and I had to let them go. some people only want to use you and that is not a friend. Friendship is all about QUALITY not QUANTITY. I have 3 real friends and I am perfectly okay with that. I have to be friends with people who are on the same mission as me... I want to be successful and if you don't have any ambition or drive.... There is no way I can consider you a friend.

I would love to go more in depth about friendship but I think you all get the general idea.

If you can't build with them, don't chill with them.

Allow me to reintroduce myself...

Hey bloggers!

I am so sorry I have been so inconsistent with my blog. Working two jobs and having limited internet access really puts a damper on my posting abilities...

But I bet you are wondering what my title is about right? Well, I have changed my name from "Malik's Courageous Dreams" to "Sit Back and BLOG.".. Why? Because Malik's Courageous Dreams was corny as hell and Sit Back and Blog flows just a tad bit better.

But I cant even lie to you all... I began to give up on my whole blogging and YouTube hobby. I kept putting myself down asking myself, why even waste my time, no one is gonna read this stuff, no one is gonna watch my videos, etc. But I gave myself a swift kick in the ass and realized I can do anything I put my mind to... Even something as simple as blogging and YouTubing.

I will now begin posting a blog every other day and will be posting the links to my twitter! My next post will actually be up and published within the next few minutes!

Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear.
