I'm Back!

Okay, guys. I know you're probably wondering where I've been right? I started a blog and then just up and abandoned it!? Well nooo, it's been a super busy last 5 weeks! But I'm happy to say I'm finally done with my Sophomore year of college! I'm officially a junior! It's been a long two years but I am so happy that I pushed through and remained motivated.

I would like to share a quick, semi-motivational story with you all...

My freshman year of college, grades were the last thing on my priority list. I drank and smoke virtually every day. I would go to class intoxicated or skip class to go get high. I stopped attending classes altogether the second month of school. I met a girl... We started dating and she was extremely possessive and controlling. She wouldn't let me go to class if I wanted to because she wanted me to be with her 24/7... So obviously I straight flunked my first semester. I got that dreadful letter in the mail saying I was being put on academic probation. I was devastated until I realized I was being given another chance to get my shit together. I came back spring semester and got B's & C's. Big improvement. But over the summer, after spring semester I got another letter saying my financial aid was being taken away because of my low GPA. I was devastated once again, but luckily appealed it and was right back at school in the fall. My grades were average but I was tired of just skating by. So I set a huge goal for myself. Deans List. So spring semester, my grades were my number one priority. And today, I got my final grades back and I got 4 A's and 2 B's. AND yes, I made the Deans List.

Moral of the story, YOU CAN DO IT. whatever you're going through, you can get through it. set a goal and work to meet it! Don't let anything or anyone get in the way of your success!

I've seen better days, but I've also seen worse. I don't have everything I want but I have everything that I need. My life may not be perfect but I am blessed.
